Amy Weber: Biography
Amy Weber was born in the small Illinois town of Peoria, and raised in nearby Mapleton. She attended Lake Weir High School in Ocala, Florida after her family relocated there in her freshman year. Following high school she attended the Univeristy of Central Florida as a psychology major, but soon decided that acting was her real passion. Like so many girls her age, Amy left school and moved to Los Angeles to seek her fortune. Rather than acting, it was her modelling abilities that landed her her first job in advertisements for Miller and Nestea.
Amy has continued to pursue her acting career but has failed to make a major crossover into mainstream movies, unlike fellow models Natasha Henstridge and Estella Warren, who have both made the transition succesfully. Amy’s movie appearances have been limited to a number of smaller productions, such as the lacklustre 1996 horror Kolobos and Crackerjack 3, an action movie released in 2000. She has had more success with her TV career, with a returning character in UPN ’s long running Port Charles series, which has struggled into it’s 7th season. Amy has also recently hosted the new series Getaway, and appeared in the Baywatch satire Son Of The Beach, as lifeguard Porcelain Bidet.
Amy's first bikini calendar was released at Christmas 2002, and she has plans to cut an R&B record in the near future. Despite her musical aspirations, it seems likely that Ms. Weber will continue to rely on modelling for some time.
