Elizabeth Berkley: Biography
Elizabeth Berkley was born in 1974. When she was 5 her parents subscribed her at Detroit Dance Company. Loving dance, young Elizabeth begun to take part in several ballets as “The Swan Lake” and in 1983 starred in some musicals, singing in Italian, too. Her debut was a role in T.V. movie “Frog” in 1987 and then she started to participate as extra in a T.V. series, “TV 101”, “Day by Day”... In the summer of 1989 she was in L.A. and auditioned for a role on “Saved by the Bell”. She had the role and became a t.v. star. After 4 seasons she left the show trying to enter in cinema. In 1994 she filmed 4 movies, including Showgirls and continued to guest star in very popular T.V. shows, as “Diagnosis Murder”. After Showgirls, she got a degree in English Literature from UCLA and enter to United Talent Agency. She then filmed some Hollywood films with small roles (The First Wives Club, 1996 and Any Given Sunday, 1999) and such independent movies as star (The Taxman and Last Call, 1999, The Real Blonde, 1997). In 1999, Elizabeth was in London upon stage as Honey in “Lenny”.
Trivia
Has different color eyes: right eye is half green and half brown and left eye is green.
The producers of “Saved By the Bell” created the role of Jesse for her when they could not choose between her and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen for the role of Kelly.
Once sat next to a man on an international flight who watched Showgirls (1995) on his in-seat video screen and never recognized her.

Donned a $600 formfitting gown made entirely of collard greens for the “Lettuce Be Lean” campaign sponsored by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals. According to “People Weekly”, a source claims “she had to be misted every 20 minutes, like a produce section”. (1997)
