Estella Warren: Biography
Canadian born Estella Warren never planned to be one of the worlds top supermodels. In her teenage years her life was dedicated to synchronised swimming, a sport in which she became Canadian National Champion for 3 years running, and placed 2nd in the world Aquatic Sports Championships. When she appeared in a charity fashion show, a talent scout took a polaroid photo of her and sent it back to headquarters. Soon modelling offers came in. Despite her strong desire to represent her country at the Olympics, Warren took up the modelling offers and appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue, and as Chanel’s No.5 girl. Her face has now graced the covers of dozens of magazines, from French Marie-Claire and German GQ to FHM and Yahoo! Internet Life.
In addition to her modelling career Estella Warren has begun what appears to be a successful transition to the silver screen. Since 2001 she has appeared in a number of films, including the big budget but ultimately disappointing Sylvester Stallone flick, Driven. Her biggest role by far has been her appearance as the alluring Nova in the much anticipated remake of the 70’s classic, Planet Of The Apes. The movie performed strongly at the box office and boosted the star status of Estella and her co-star Mark Wahlberg. Her most recent film appearances have been in Kangaroo Jack, a weak crime caper set in Australia, and The Cooler, a romance.
In addition to her acting and modelling careers, Estella Warren dreams of opening a classic French restaurant to indulge her love of cooking. Her other hobbies include hiking, playing piano and swimming.
