Monica Bellucci: Biography

Monica Bellucci was born on 30 September 1968 in Città di Castello, Perugia, Italy. In 1988 Monica moved to Milan and began her modeling career. Though extremely successful as a model, Monica nonetheless decided to try her hand at acting and starred in Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula in 1992.

Since then she has established herself as a successful international star and was nominated for the César (the French Oscar) as best promise actress for her work in L’appartement.

Her role as Persephone in The Matrix series cemented her place in the limelight.
