Natalie Portman: Biography
Portman is not her real name, it’s her grandmothers maiden name. The reason for Natalie not using her real name and using a stage name is for privacy. At the age of 3 Natalie moved to Maryland, then moving to Connecticut at the age of 7, before settling for good in Long Island, New York. Her father is a doctor and her mother is an artist.
Natalie works as a model and actress, but she focuses more on acting. Natalie is an only child, and is a pure vegetarian, after seeing a chicken get roasted at a doctors conference with her father. Her doggie’s name is Noodles – half Poodle – half Schnauzer.
She discovered in a pizza parlor in New York at age 11 by a modeling agent from Revlon, but she decided to go with acting and so they introduced her to some acting agents. Natalie made her debut as an actress on ‘The Professional’, also known as Leon, as a girl named Matilda.
